SQL Excel adds database access to MS Excel. After installation an extra Excel Toolbar will be added to Excel with 5 different buttons providing access to all of the functionality of the add-in.

The first button on the SQL Excel Toolbar (the blue database icon) loads the SQL Excel Connections form where you can manage your connections.

The core functionality of the add-in is the retrieval of data into Excel, and the "SQL" button on the toolbar loads the SQL Entry form. This form allows for switching between different databases (and providers). To get the data from a database into Excel you execute a query or select statement on the form. There is a button to execute the SQL and display it in a grid on the form (which will appear on the bottom of the form if the "Run SQL and Preview in Grid" button is selected).

The vendor notes that SQL Excel can connect to all standard databases (MS SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).

SQL Excel is a freeware application, the vendor notes that it contains no ads, no spware, and no time limits.
