IOGEAR's Flash Wallet drive is an external drive for Windows or Mac PCs that boasts 4 GB of storage capacity.

The drive is about the size of a typical credit card (74 x 46 mm), but 3 mm thick. A slide-out USB port connector facilitates the connection between the card and the computer; with power supplied over the USB BUS itself (no separate power supply is needed). Optionally, the card can be attached to the computer via a USB extension cable (a 5 inch cable is included with the drive). USB 2.0 (up to 480 Mb/sec) and 1.1 ports are both supported.

Though the vendor's Web site targets the drive for use on Windows XP/Vista or Mac OS X 10.3 or better machines; a company representative notes that it can be used as a mass storage device on any O/S that supports it (and its USB connection). For Windows computers in particular, the drive ships with "Smart Security Software" that enables users to create a hidden partition accessible only via a password, and additionally the drive supports Windows Vista ReadyBoost.

The drive is housed in a blue, aluminum alloy casing.

The IOGEAR Flash Wallet Drive is currently available, and listed on the vendor's Web site with an MSRP of $59.95.
