Purisma Data Hub (PDH) is a Master Data Management (MDM) platform, a product that enables organizations to collect, correlate, standardize, and manage core business data--such as customer or vendor records and attributes--for consistent use and access throughout their organizations. In addition to its ability to create and store a sanitized master version of data records, the product also provides synchronization with source repositories and hierarchical viewing capabilities, among other features.
product submission by EITPlanet StaffPDH supports the integration of data sources in either asynchronous or transactional models; listing Web services, publish & subscribe, and "multiple forms of data loading and transfer" as possible data integration/population methodologies. Two-way data transactions are supported (both to the PDH when source data is updated, as well as from PDH to the source repository when master records are changed); and the master data itself can be delegated to and maintained by data stewards, who can inspect, validate, and correct the records as necessary via thin-client access. For the maintaining of data accuracy, the product supports both the integration of external reference data (such as Dun & Bradstreet) and self-learning capabilities from provided data sources. With this latter feature, the vendor notes that their product is capable of learning and maintaining from data sources, external reference data, and data steward actions such record reconciliation information as alternative or misspellings, or abbreviations and using that information for subsequent data matching tasks. Other features of the platform include: - The ability to gather/collect data incrementally as it is needed for projects; with the ability to reference schema data in the original source systems rather than consolidate it - Support for role-based hierarchical data views, allowing individual types of users to view record relationships based on their business needs New features in the latest release of PDH include clustering support (up to 16 application server nodes are supported with load balancing and HA); and the ability to add logical structures to D&B corporate family trees (while maintaining D&B synchronization). The cluster architecture in particular is compatible with Oracle 10g grids. Purisma Data Hub is available now.
