RDM (Raima Database Manager) is Birdstep Technology's database engine and is offered in three flavors: RDM Embedded, RDM Server, and RDM Mobile.

- RDM Embedded is a real-time embedded database library with support for both disk based and in-memory tables. Among other features are data replication, data mirroring, and other fault tolerant functions.

RDM Embedded includes a high level data definition language, native support for C arrays and structures, multi-user access, and a fully ACID transaction compliant database core. The vendor states that the product supports all mainstream and RTOS operating systems, as well as supports an upgrade path to RDM Server.

- RDM Server is a Client/Server embedded database with support for both the Network and Relational Database Model. Features include a plug in model, data replication, in-memory support, and data encryption

The vendor states that RDM Server was designed not only for fault-tolerance, but also for real-time processing. It is accessible through a navigational API as well as industry standard APIs such as SQL.

- RDM Mobile is specifically designed for embedded and mobile computing systems.
