PowerLink Pro

Prevents Internet Downtime via WAN Link Load Balancing

Astrocom's PowerLink Pro appliances provide redundant Internet access, the ability to switch traffic among multiple Internet connections through a technique called multi-homing. When one link goes down, WAN/ISP failover automatically switches Internet traffic to a functioning link.

PowerLink sits between a LAN and WAN. It allows networks to use multiple Internet connections for network redundancy and ISP failover. Depending on the model, PowerLink products provide:

- WAN link redundancy for ISP failover and Internet high availability among as many as 15 links for critical (as determined by the customer) internal and customer applications.

- Traffic load balancing (both inbound and outbound) from a network for bandwidth aggregation of up to 500 Mbps.

- Point-to-point channel bonding among as many as 40 locations, providing uninterrupted Internet access for applications like VPN and VoIP.

- Redundant hardware failover and monitoring capabilities.

- QoS capabilities for bandwidth management.

Both the PowerLink Pro50 and Pro100 models offer ISP failover on both inbound and outbound traffic, while load balancing all traffic. The Pro100 offers over 150 Mbps of bandwidth aggregation combined with mission-critical ISP failover services.

PowerLink Pro200/Pro55 adds "Virtual Tunneling Technology" for WAN link channel bonding among as many as six remote locations and bandwidth aggregation up to 100 Mbps. The Pro200 supports 130,000 concurrent sessions and up to 15 redundant WAN links.

Lastly, the PowerLink Pro250 provides ISP failover and Internet high availability for larger environments with channel bonding among up to 40 locations, bandwidth aggregation of 500 Mbps, and global management of all enterprise and remote WAN resources.
