SAFsolution replaces Windows passwords with biometric authentication, smart cards and proximity badges. It integrates with Microsoft Active Directory or Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM). The software is standards-compliant and has an open systems architecture; which, according to the vendor, provides for broad hardware device support allowing customers to mix and match biometric technologies--such as fingerprint and iris recognition--to meet their security needs. The open architecture also gives customers the flexibility to use cheaper or better devices as they become available.

SAFsolution features include:

- Mix and match strong authentication: SAFsolution allows companies to take advantage of a wide variety of strong authentication technologies (such as fingerprint authentication, iris recognition, speaker verification and facial recognition). SAFsolution also integrates with smart cards, proximity cards, RF badges, and a number of other identification tokens.

- Integrated security policies: SAFsolution offers 30 security and auditing policy controls integrated into Active Directory. No need to duplicate your enterprise's entire network layout on stand-alone authentication server(s).

- User authority delegation: allows assistants and generic account end-users to biometrically log on using another authorized identity.
