Routix NetCom provides firewall and traffic management features including NAT, IP-filtering, routing, more. The vendor targets the product to system administrators, IT-professionals and advanced users.

Features include:

- Support for remote scripting (with Microsoft Active Scripting) and a provided remote administration console

- Support for URL filtering

- Supports control and managament of any Ethernet/dial-up/xDSL connection

- Support any packet direction handling

- Support for multiple protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, etc.)

- Supports MAC-level (Ethernet-frames) handling

- Support incoming and outgoing traffic counting and handling

- Supports TCP and UDP ports handling

- Supports IP addresses handling

- Supports time-based handling (rule evaluates to true only at a specified time)

- Automatic counters reset at a specified interval (every N hours, N days, N weeks, N month, N years)

- Event-based action executions (every rule can execute many specified scripts or programs, for example for writing counters to database or XML-file). These actions can be executed before counters will be reset or with a specified interval

- Packets can be allowed, denied or sent to the next rule in list

- Possible to change any packet field (MAC/IP addresses, TCP/UDP ports)

- Port-mapping/redirection

- Integrated NAT

- Packets can be redirected to any other NIC

- Bridging between any Ethernet interfaces

- Bandwidth limiting for any type of TCP-traffic

- QoS (Quality of Service) for any type of traffic

- With management console you can monitor real-time network activity, connect to many hosts at the same time, or monitor remote host performance (CPU, memory, interrupts, etc.)

- Possible to limit connections per rule

- Includes SDK documentation to control Routix NetCom from custom applications
