Authoriszor is a Web site protection tool for authenticating user access to the site and insuring that only authorized information is provided in return.
Users are secured by means of a Client Identification Key, a digital fingerprint that is stored on the user's machine that identifies both the personal user and the machine upon which it resides. This fingerprint consists not only of information identifying the user themselves, but the machine from which the user accesses the site; meaning that the key cannot be copied to and used from separate computers. The user is authenticated with every access to the Web site, throughout the user session. Users are granted access to information within the site both as individuals and as group members, with Authoriszor serving only the information they have the right to view. Through the use of Pseudo URLs, all individuals can access the same Web "page" but view different information depending on their access rights. The information presented to the user is therefore selected and delivered dynamically, both from existing site information or from external sources via the Authoriszor API. Features of Authoriszor include a Web site import wizard to quickly configure an entire site in a single process, and the ability to manage multiple Web sites. Additionally, the latest version (v3.0) includes virtual client capabilities (authorization solution that does not require client software); personalization features through the use of a stored user profile that can be made available to Web applications; and a now browser-independent client module. Authoriszor 2000 is available now; the latest version (3.0) is currently in beta and expected to be released in early August 2001. A future version 3 release is also expected to support Solaris/Apache platforms. Visit the Authoriszor Web site for further information. product submission by DPW Staff Suggest a link
