Field Force Manager

Location Tracking, Timecard Reporting, More for Field Workers

Field Force Manager is a Web-based application that works in conjunction with Verizon Wireless phone plans. Specifically, the application allows for the basic central location tracking and management of mobile workers who are equipped with a Verizon Wireless phone (initially available for the Motorola V325 model) and who subscribe to a qualifying voice calling plan. The utility is targeted to small, but mobile, businesses.

The utility includes two components: The Web-based component, which is accessed by the central office; and a handset application loaded onto the Motorola V325. Field Force Manager allows the central office to see where their mobile workers are in the field in near real-time, and additionally provides automated electronic time-tracking capabilities for the mobile workers themselves. Dispatching features allow for the capturing of customer service requests and delegation of field personnel.

The package is offered in both Basic and Advanced packages. Both packages feature the aforementioned GPS-based tracking, electronic time-card reporting, and basic dispatch capabilities; and additionally feature support for mobile forms, an alerting engine, support for the delivery of text-based driving directions, and role-based security controls. The Advanced package adds to this feature set support for audible and map-based driving directions and basic workflow management capabilities, including the ability to track job history and status as well as job stop reporting.

Field Force Manager is available now. The Basic package is priced at $29.99/month, while the Advanced package is $49.99/month (both prices are per handset).
